BORLA

The Borla system is unique in that it provides not only a full cat-back option, but also gives you two mufflers to do it. In spite of the xB's factory single exhaust, there was a hanger available on the opposite side from which to hang the second muffler. Unfortunatelly, we weren't lucky enough to fi nd an exhaust outlet popout panel that would allow us to drop the exhaust right in. Borla does give an adhesive cutout template and directions on how to properly apply it. However, cutting the bumper was not an option for our xB so we instead opted to hang the muffler lower so that it would clear the bumper. This should not have an adverse affect on performance as the muffler is simply rotated axially .

On the dyno, the twin muffler Borla system managed to shift the entire powerband up from 3000 RPM all the way to redline, with "under the curve" gains as high as +4 WHP. The power production tapered off at the high end, peaking at 98.10 WHP and 102.04 lb/ft TQ.
