The Espelir muffler was also fully
stainless steel and included a weld-on
hanger. This muffler also came with a
bolt in silencer/noise restrictor, but we
had it removed for the test results that
you see here.
Peak power production checked in
at 97.33 WHP with a corresponding
100.91 lb/ft TQ. The GT500R showed
an approximate +1 WHP gain over the
stock system from 3000 to 4000 RPM.
The remainder of the powerband was
pretty much unchanged, aside from
what appears to be VVT-i activity
around 5500 RPM.
