Formula Drift - 2008 Season Opener
April 12th, 2008. Streets of Long Beach.
Staff Report.

Chris Forsberg wins in a very exciting "one more time" final battle with Samuel Hubinette, who settled into 2nd. FD 2007 Champion Tanner Foust took a hard-earned 3rd to start off the long season right while still showing on the podium.
A slew of newcomers faired rather well, rounding out the Top 32, and some team shakeups and new vehicle shakedowns were the order of the day outside of the podiums. The most notable car seemed to be the Scion / RS*R / Rogue Status / Designcraft Fabrications Scion tC, converted to RWD with some not-so-secret Designcraft voodoo.
The Kaaz-sponsored golden AE86, piloted by owner / mechanic / Japanese national Yas Kondo, was actively seeking sponsors; look for upcoming editorial on Kondo's trials and tribulations as a Japanese driver/mechanic trying to make his way onto the Formula D podiums.
The official Top 32 breakdown will be up shortly. For now, enjoy the pics, and coming soon, watch out for streaming video. If you need more than that, you need to get up and actually make it out to the next Formula D event - heat be damned!
