Manufacturer Pitch - Magnecor Race Wires are unique because of Magnecor's no-compromise approach to eliminating the EMI (electro magnetic interference) problems associated with modern computer controlled engines and performance aftermarket wires, particulary important when these engines are modified for additional horsepower. Designed and constructed to provide EMI suppression indefinitely by eliminating the need for the customary short-lived conductive carbon coating used to suppress conductors in "low-resistance" wires, Magnecor KV85 Competition Cables' exclusive extra large 2.5mm Metallic inductance suppressed conductor allows maximum performance with OE and high-output ignitions without reducing spark energy. All connectors are made with the highest grade available materials and the cable's jacket is made entirely from aerospace grade high heat-resistant high-strength silicone rubber. The 8.5mm jacket is flexible enough to fit most engines, and individual wires and sets can be custom-made.

Fit & Finish (Our Review) - The Magnecor wires had a very good fit at the distributor cap end. The overall wire lengths provided adequate length to properly route the wires.
The spark plug boot end received a "good" rating from our evaluation. The boots full flexible design made it a bit difficult to feel when proper wire-to-plug engagement was being made.
Maybe we are just used to it, but we prefer the more rigid spark plug boots used on the OEM and other wires to the flexible spark plug boot ends. |
